Where: ACC Highland Campus, Room 2.249, Building 2000 (Make It Space-Inspiration Hub)
What: Join Packback, AI experts, and leaders from Austin Community College for lunch and an in-depth discussion on AI in K-20 education. Use this opportunity to connect with fellow K12 District Administrators and learn how districts are leveraging and navigating the power of AI.
During this session, you will get to hear from:
- Dr. Quintin Shepherd, Superintendent of Pflugerville ISD
- Dr. Hafedh Azaiez, Superintendent of Schools, Round Rock ISD
- Dr. Elizabeth Knight, Vice Chancellor of Academic Programs at ACC
- Dr. LaKisha Barrett, Associate Dean of Belonging and Purpose in Teaching and Learning at ACC
- Kelsey Behringer, CEO of Packback
In the session we will learn concrete strategies from practitioners and academic leaders from ACC, as well as understand the policy trends and implications from leading voices and visionaries in Instructional AI from local Districts and Education Technology partners. We’ll wrap up with a Q&A, during which we will provide participants with lunch.
We invited your Superintendent and would be delighted to host an additional 2-3 members of your district's instructional leadership team. The event has a focus on Instructional AI for 6-12th grade students and supporting the post-secondary transition, so please take liberty to coordinate internally as to who can join us and fellow leaders from Austin-area districts. Looking forward to seeing you!
