As an AVID Elective or AVID Excel teacher, you have access to Packback for your AVID course, and any other class that you teach at no cost! You also have access to premade Packback assignments and corresponding lessons in MyAVID– these are dedicated to supporting your setup and overall platform success. These scaffolding tools will support student writing, critical thinking, and academic discussion skills. Packback’s “Digital TA” AI will save you time grading with plagiarism detection, automated scoring, smart highlights and more. Once your district has a data privacy agreement on file, you can join AVID teachers from over 400 districts as they adopt this new tool into their teaching practice.
What is Instructional AI?
Packback’s Instructional AI is designed to provide students with real-time, personalized feedback on their writing and critical thinking skills. Packback teaches students how to improve their writing and critical thinking skills by offering scaffolding and coaching rather than generating text for them. By allowing teachers to focus on deeper aspects of student learning and assessment, Packback acts as a grading assistant while still maintaining instructor control over the feedback process.
